It’s difficult for foreigners to eat RAMEN?
They cannot slurp noodles
Moreover, depending on the country, eating with this noise may be a violation of manners. My husband is from Europe, but after all he said he didn’t mind Asians slurping noodles but European people generally might consider it as rude. Of course, at least in Japan, it’s no problem to eat that way, but it may not be the same for everywhere.
They can’t eat it with chopsticks
Ramen is known as Asian, so some foreigners use chopsticks to eat ramen. But think about it. If you couldn’t slurp noodles, can you eat ramen with chopsticks?
In fact, eating ramen with chopsticks is based on the assumption that people slurp it. Of course, some people may eat it with chopsticks even if they don’t do so, but that requires training.
For this reason, many foreigners cannot eat ramen well. The same goes for my husband, but when I ask, “Do you use a fork?” he never shook his head vertically, so I try to pass a large spoon with chopsticks. I would like to eat with noise, but I usually put noodles on the spoon so I don’t need to make noise as much as possible and do not need to embarrass him.

Tantan ramen came from Sichuan
In Japan, Tantan noodles are sometimes regarded as a type of ramen. Miso ramen, soy sauce ramen, tonkotsu ramen, tandan noodles, etc.
Needless to say, Tantan noodles originated in China, not in Japan. Born in Sichuan Province, which is especially famous for spicy foods, it is loved as a noodle dish with minced meat and vegetables. However, Tantan noodles are arranged differently in each region, so they are completely different from region to region.
Its noodles are slightly different
When you ask for Tantan noodles in China, they often come out with thick noodles that are about half the size of udon. In Japan, it is treated as a type of ramen, so it comes out as thin noodles like ramen, but in China it is common for noodles to be thick.
