Although it is a gorgeous, overseas expatriate that looks like a winning group, once you know this taste, there is a risk that you will be unable to work in Japan.
Gorgeous local life
In particular, the presence of developing countries such as Southeast Asia is heaven. For example, in Bangkok where I was stationed, I can live in a condominium with a pool and gym as usual.
The food is cheap and delicious so you can eat a lot. In addition, infrastructure has been developed, and trains can ride for less than 50 yen. There are shopping malls, fashionable cafes, night bars and clubs. You can also get a massage at an inexpensive price.
It makes you totally useless
I played golf on my days off, and after that the appearance of the expatriate heading for the massage became quite familiar. From a representative in Bangkok, Bangkok is “heaven”. At the same time, there is even a saying such as “(Bangkok) makes humans useless”.
There is a Japanese school in Bangkok, with thousands of people. This number alone shows how many Japanese are in Bangkok.
However, some people say in their mouths that they are worried about whether they can return to Japan and get used to it.
Getting used to the luxurious life
In any case, such a case is not only in Bangkok but also in a living in a developing country where prices are relatively low. Because I can’t cook at home, I often eat out at Japanese restaurants, but there was a dinner of over 1,000 yen every day. Still, I did not drink alcohol, so it was cheaper to eat alone.
After all it is cheap!
When you have a drinking party with expatriates, you will be asked for more drinks and beer. As a result, one person can spend between 3,000 and 4,000 yen. I thought it was expensive, but there was a surprising voice that people who like liquor say “cheap”.
For local beer, you can drink from around 50 yen a glass at a bar in the city instead of a high-end restaurant. Furthermore, the taste is close to Japanese beer. For those who like liquor (some places have cheaper places), drinking beer at this price is a dream story.
After returning home…
I was surprised when I returned to Japan. That means that Japanese izakayas are more expensive than local Japanese restaurants. When I drank on the way back as a resident, I asked for a restaurant liquor at the same pace as when everyone was stationed, and as a result I paid more than 10,000 yen per person.
In another case, a person residing in Bangkok used a taxi from Shibuya to Nakameguro after 22:00 when he returned to Japan. Taxi is very cheap in Bangkok and the first ride is under 100 yen. Therefore, I took a taxi with the same feeling as Bangkok, and it took several thousand yen to Nakameguro, including late night.
You’ll completely lose yourself
If you are stationed overseas, you will have the illusion that you have become great. Naturally, it is not a commuting rush like Japan. In countries and towns without trains, you will be picked up.
Narrow community

For example, there is an opportunity to get acquainted with the director of a major company. I can never meet in Japan. When that happens, it is easy to get the illusion that you have grown and become great. Of course, that is not the case.
